"Your obedience does not benefit Him, and your disobedience does not harm Him. It is only for your own good that He commanded the one and prohibited the other". [211]
The aphorism discussed in this talk mirrors perfectly the Qur'anic verse: "Whoever practises righteousness it is for himself; and whoever sins, it is on himself…" (Surah al-Jathiyah)

*Hadith on Modesty: Healthy shame, conscience bring all goodness*
‘Imran ibn Husayn reported:
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“Modesty does not bring anything but goodness.”
In another narration, the Prophet said:
“Modesty is all that is good.”
(Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5766, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 37)
