Never Grieve Again – Removing the Causes of Grief [Hikam 226]
In this lecture the Shaykh reveals the major cause for grief and explains how it is a self inflicted issue. He explains that when a person has a strong attachment to worldly objects and then suffers their loss, great misery and distress overcomes them. This is because they have failed to understand that this is a temporal imperfect world, and therefore, all its goods will be defective and its use will only be for a limited time. Shaykh Abdur-Rahman advises that by managing ones possessions and sufficing upon needs only, they will be content at times of loss as they posses only little. By this sacrifice Allah will grant the person honour and His close friendship, all which never perishes.

great video I loved it
Alhumdulillah That Allah has put these people on this earth. Without our ullama were would we be. May Allah preserve Mufti Abdur-Rahman ibn yusuf and all the scholars around the world. Aameen.
One important point which is missing in the lesson is: How to know what I really need?
I think many of us are not honest with themselves.
I will always find reasons to buy the best product, because “I need it”.
Nowadays you will find Imams, Hodjas, Shoyokhs, Sufis ….. having the best products, cars etc.. Because they need it.
True
Salaam walae kum.. the point where the respected sheikh mentioned, about a man who was to embrace him but his ph felt in puddle and this most probably the embrace couldn’t take place .Shukr Allah it happened that way , Allah kareem , social distancing is very important in this covid 19 outbreak . The man should not have gone to embrace Sheikh due to covid 19 outbreak. That’s very irresponsible and please sheikh the ummah needs your valued wisdom. Keep yourself away from harms way . Yes it’s in Allah’s hand but we should avoid putting our self in harms way. Any mistakes in my comment please excuse.
